Continuing from the previous post, CNY Air fried snack 2 , air fried popiah roll. Do check up the link for the recipe. (http://eckitchensg.com/2016/01/fortune-mini-pork-floss-spring-roll-air-fried/) Im not gonna lie, this really was not worth the time and effort, it took about 2 hours to finish wrapping up each mini sq of popiah. After rolling up the rolls, remember to brush on a layer of olive oil or oil of your choice.
I added a few drops of chilli oil to the mixture of olive oil to brush over the rolls for a little spicy taste. For me, i used the crushed crispy pork floss but you can choose whichever you prefer. I would also suggest you monitor the time depending on the air fryer you own, as long as the popiah is goldenish brown. Store in a jar when cooled. 3. Air fried popiah seaweed snack. The link for the recipe is below: ( http://eckitchensg.com/2016/01/paper-thin-seaweed-crisp/) I've got to say, this is the easiest snack out of the lot, the only thing that took up some time is the cutting of the squares into strips. 4: Air fried pork rind The link for the recipe is below: (http://eckitchensg.com/2016/01/collagenful-crispy-pork-skin/) Im not sure if you can purchase the pork rind from supermarkets but its available at the wet markets from butchers at an affordable price. I have purchase 2 pieces of pork skin for about $3. Thou the recipe mentioned to leave it overnight in the chiller, that did not work out for me( not sure if my fridge is good or not?). So i sun mine hoping that wind and sun could dry up the skin. A little pre work is needed for this such as washing and cutting off the fats if the butcher did not do it for you, also the removal of hair left on the skin. Thou the recipe mention to leave it in the air fryer for 10mins i had to leave mine in the air fryer for 25-30mins at 200 degree celsius, so do monitor your air fryer and adjust the heat and time. Hopefully, everyone is ready for the CNY. xoxo, deedee |
