PS: It would be a photo heavy post. It started raining in the morning when we were about to head out, Esther our host was very kind to drop us off at Bayswater Car Rental (No Birds). We choose and booked our car with Bayswater as they have the cheapest rates. There is however hidden cost which we did not know about when we were there to collect the car as Heather did not meet the age limit. The cost for additional drivers is $5 per day with a maximum of $25 for the whole rental. The age charges are at $20/day which is slightly pricey when the cost builds up. Overall the cost of the car was average and we were happy with our car. Downsides: The cost of returning your car at a different outlet is $25, yet the cost of returning the car at the airport is $75. Also the outlet in the city closes at 5pm so if you would like to not pay for additional charges that is something to take note off. We also did not include GPS at an additional cost, trust me goggle map works as well if you have connection. "BAYSWATER CAR RENTAL So after having us all settled in with the car, we set off on a long long drive to Margaret River. The journey would take roughly 3 hours according to google maps. It took longer due to the rain, and we were starving! So we made a pit stop at Mandurah for brunch, while driving there, i made some google searches and Cafe Moka came up with good reviews. The place it was located on was beautiful, despite the rain which has already dampen our mood plus make it difficult to take photos outdoors. "Cafe Moka The food was ordinary cafe food i guess, nothing special but enough to fill the tummy. We ordered the Smoked salmon with avocado bagel, buttermilk fried chicken burger, and hand cut sweet potato chips with herbed mayo. For drinks we got a hot chocolate and filty dirty chai ( chocolate + coffee+ chai). The filty dirty chai was soo smooth and delicious, im thinking about it now. As we were leaving the place the rain got heavier but still, we were determined to get to Busselton jetty. "Busselton Jetty We were graced with a moment of sunshine so we rushed to get out and take some photos. It cost $4 per person for tickets to walk on the bridge. There are other options that includes the underwater observatory deck and the train rides that are worth considering. Due to the rain and our poor pockets, we decided to just take a walk. Unfortunately, as you can see from the pictures, the dark clouds were a warning. we only managed to walk a quarter of the bridge before it started pouring heavily and we were soaked head to toe. Thus concluding our journey in Busselton Jetty, we headed to Margaret River centre next as heather was freezing and complaining haha. We just randomly choose a restaurant for dinner as Heather was starving, and wanted hot soup. SO, we settled for korean food Teddis Big Spoon. Despite relatively high ratings with a quick google search, it was one of the worst korean food I've had, and i have had lots judging that Gold Coast has a plenty of korean restaurants. We ordered a Bulgogi Hot Pot ($25) and a Kimchi and pork Hot Pot ($25), both were a single serving for 1, there was no side dishes that came with it as well. The price for the meal was also really expensive for a soup and a bowl of rice, with Australian pricing standards. There was chunks of meat which tasted and smelled like they were kept in the freezer for a long time, only 2 slices of mushroom, and the soup was just a mix of water with left over bulgogi sauce. The kimchi soup was also just a mix of kimchi with water and alot of gochugaru. Though the deco and ambience of the place was nice, I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone. After which, we checked into our Airbnb for the next 2 days, had a shower and hit the sheets for a sunnier day tomorrow. xoxo, Dee Perth Posts

Finally, I am free from school and all the other work whatsoever.... I have been wanting to go to Perth for a while now, since its a location that is visited by many Singaporeans yearly, also, my friends are studying over there while im in Queensland.I was actually planning to go alone but Heather decided to join me since she has delayed her grad applications. We were also both looking for a time away after the hectic year we've had. With all assignments and placement done, why not take a break ! Therefore, I took the opportunity when Tiger airlines was having a sale for domestic flights, the usual cost of flying to Perth from Brissy is about $330-400, but with the sale, i managed to get return air tickets at $360, what a deal! Of course, it doesn't come with baggage, but, we bought insurance just in case. So begins the planning for our trip, its a 7 day trip with a lot of ground to cover since its our first time visiting Perth. We were also not early risers to be honest and the Australian opening hours didnt really fit well with us, by the time we are up and ready its already noon for most of the days haha. DAY 1
Heather's brother was kind enough to drop us off at the airport before our flight check-in, though she did the driving there..... After check in, we had a minor drama because Heather lost her boarding pass. But we still headed for the food section first because we were starving. Heather was all ready for bed with her pillow and her sleep mask, while i watch read a novel off the tablet. The flight from Brissy to Perth is approximately 5 hours, but our flight was flying an hour extra plus taking note that Perth is 2hours behind Brissy, by the time we reach it was already 11pm in Perth. So we uber-ed to our booked airbnb in east perth city. I choose this location as it was easy for us to get to the car rental company. The first impression on Perth was that everything was so clean and organised unlike in the Gold Coast. There was even designated spots for Uber pick ups from the airport which i didnt know of. If you are looking to stay in the city and didnt want to drive for the day from the airport, uber is a good option. Our trip from the airport to the airbnb house was only $28, much cheaper than taking a taxi. Thats all for day 1, we basically just spent the day travelling. xoxo, Dee Perth Posts
