We were taking things slow in the morning as we get ready to leave, Liza (our host) has kindly extend our hours for us as she did not have a booking for the day. However, as there is still much to do we left the house by 11am. Needing to fill our tummies first, we headed for lunch at silver sushi, a place WH and her friends frequent often. We arrived just as they were about to open and within a short period of time the place was filled with customers, proving the popularity of this place. Heather ordered a chiraishi don, while I got the Scallops & Salmon Maki, and a Aburi slices to share. The food was pretty good, and the maki was huge and filling. As utopia was just right beside, we got ourselves a drink as well. I tried the winter love milk tea (which was actually just Japanese rice tea) and Heather got the hazelnut milk tea with pearls. Verdict, it was bad, really bad and diluted. " Silver Sushi Than we headed to a place Heather wanted to visit, from browsing on Instagram. Brown Spoon Dessert Shop, located in the city. We were super full, but we still tried the watermelon bing su, gotta say it was just insta-worthy but rather ordinary. The table beside us ordered the bulgogi burger that looks good as well. There was a wall with angel wings, photo spot. " Brown Spoon Cafe Since it was our last day, we were just going to walk around the city before heading to the airport. As it was difficult to find a park in the city, we tried going into the different carparks, the parking charges were too high. With no choice,we parked on the street beside the St Mary’s cathedral which was also expensive. The St Mary’s Cathedral was beautiful inside as with all cathedrals. We took some time to visit the London court, in the between the main shopping streets. The place has an old English feel, despite the lack of shops and the tourist traps, the place makes me feel like part of a Harry Potter movie. Be sure to check the place out and snap some photos. " London Court Than we proceeded to the Graffiti walls in Wall St, just right beside channel. There are also many artworks hidden between the lanes along Hay St and Murray St. " Wolf Lane, 321 Murray Street, Perth WA 6000" After which we proceeded to get some honey cakes before returning the car at No Birds, as we were cheapskates unwilling to pay extra. They have 2 stalls, one in Perth CBD and another in Fremantle market, if you would be dropping by Fremantle market, it would be more convenient to get from there. They were delicious, each layer of the caramel had the light taste and fragrance of honey yet not too sweet. However, these dont come cheap, a big box which is what i got, serves about 8 for $29. None the less, a great gift for friends and worth the try if it's your first time in Perth. " The Honey Cake Shop in CBD Than we took a uber to Nedlands Shopping Mall, which doesn’t look like a mall, to wait for WH and Andy for dinner at Ciao italia. Ciao Italia has been recommended by many who have visited Perth as the place to go for Italian food. The place was already crowded when we arrived and the branch at Nedlands take reservation. We were shown to our seats after a 30minutes wait in the cold, but service was fast inside and within 10 minutes our food was already on the table. We ordered WH’s recommendation a pizza, a signature Ciao pasta, and a mushroom risotto to share. Everything was really yummy and were in large portions so if you are there with friends, you can always opt to share the meal. The price of the meal was also reasonably cheap as compared to the other meals we have had in Perth. I personally like the mushroom risotto more than the pasta as im not a fan of tomatoes, but the pasta had more variety of ingredients if that is what you prefer. We also got the Tiramisu and matcha tiramisu as dessert. The tiramisu was wayyy better than the matcha tiramisu, if you were to choose one, definitely go for the traditional one. There was just a weird taste to the matcha tiramisu and left a aftertaste. "Ciao Italia With that we ended our Perth adventures. Till next time. Xoxo, Dee Perth Post
